TET (Tablas, Espacios, Texto or Tables, Espaces, Texte) will help you to format, convert and manipulate your data, or perform a few simple computations like transposition, log-transformation.
TET also helps you to prepare a simple DATA BASE.
Everything is saved in flat text format (ASCII) so that you also can have acces to your data using any editor or word processor.

Features of “TET” (“Tabla Espacios Tabulaciones”)
- If the INPUT FILE is the natural output file of COO, i.e. the “Coord_’date’.txt” file (this file has an internal .TPS format)
- Data formatting: the “Coord_’date’.txt” file, and also some .TPS and .NTS files, may be converted into the “…_format.txt” format used by the CLIC package.
- Data base : associated with the “_format.txt” format is the “…_DB.txt” format, which is a tab separated columns matrix including the comments you gave to each image when collecting landmarks (using COO); this “_DB.txt” file may be introduced “as is” into any spreadsheet or database.
- If the INPUT FILE is the file already formatted by TET, i.e. the “…_format.txt” fuch file
- Data manipulation : removing row(s) or column(s), inserting row(s) or column(s), concatenating files (by columns or by rows), etc. These tasks under TET are less friendly than performed by a spreadsheet, for instance, but they are safer, and finally faster.
- Data computing : log-transforming (since TET28), transposing, computing distances between each pair of landmarks. Be careful in logtransforming your data: null or negative values are simply skipped (should they exist in morphometric data ?).
- Data conversion, again : The “…_format.txt” format can be converted to simple .nts format.
